Jangpetkong Road Construction Finally Commences in Nagaland's Mokokchung District

MOKOKCHUNG — Regional authorities officially inaugurated the much-anticipated Jangpetkong Road Construction Phase-I project during a formal ceremony held on Friday at Orija Salang in Changki village, marking a monumental step forward for local infrastructure development.
Spanning a critical 20-kilometer corridor from Changki X Junction to Dibuia and Luyong, the infrastructure initiative addresses decades of severely compromised transit conditions that have historically isolated rural populations and hindered economic mobility throughout the district.
According to reports by Nagaland Post, community leaders and regional stakeholders expressed overwhelming optimism during the launch event, emphasizing that the upgraded corridor will drastically improve regional integration, reduce travel times, and stimulate local commerce.
With heavy machinery now mobilized on-site, project engineers and local administrations expect construction to advance steadily through the initial phase, setting a precedent for future infrastructural investments across the northeastern state.
